What you can do with your old roof

There will come a time when you will need to get a new roof.  When that time comes you will have a couple of choices.You have the choice of taking your new roof and putting it right on top of the old roof.Or you can remove the old roof and place a fresh brand new roof installed.This information here will take a look at both ways.

So when trying to make a decision between the two ways there is only two things to consider.Those factors are going to be appearance and price.  I am going to share from my experience running my roofing San Diego company.

First way you can go is by installing a new roof on top of the old.If you choose this method you could have a lot of bumps and lumps on the roof.  Some folks don’t mind it.  But you have to know if you will or not.Ask the roofer for some roofing jobs they have done recenlty so you can see if the bumps bother you.  Then you can see if you mind the look or not.Understand that if this is the way you choose you can save a lot of money.  So you have to consider if it is worth it.  We have done it both ways with my Carlsbad roofing company and have had customers love both ways.

So that brings up the second option which is the price.It doesn’t matter if the bumps and lumps is a bother to you, you have to consider if the price matters to you.So to put it another way, are you willing to pay more to have a better look.  Or do you need that extra money?If you do, you need to be very clear on whether or not the bumps will be a problem.  Many clients in this economy have opted to save money from what I have experienced in my Encinitas roofing company.

As you can see it really comes down to how good you want it to look.And do you have the money to pay for that type of look.  If you need to save money go the first way. Especially if you aren’t so picky about the looks.
