Using Fire Pits For Fundraisers

Fire pits have more uses than people realize. Their conventional use is for a small controlled fire which burns in the backyard. It’s possible to cook, entertain, toast marshmallows and more around an open fire. You can also use your fire pit as a cooler when there’s no fire in it. Just fill it with ice and drinks and your open-air cooler is operational. Some commercial properties also use fire pits for decoration. You can find them outside of restaurant parking areas, in office building lobbies being used as planters, or near swimming pools or beaches. They are also commonly used as fundraisers.

Non-profit groups tend to exist since they are intended to support worthy causes. Defeating cancer is one of the most crucial of the many good causes people contribute to. Cancer is the deadliest disease known to mankind and something that can be difficult to defeat. In saying that, much progress has occurred recently. To put it simply, if you catch the disease early, you can defeat it. Life will go on. It is important for early detection of cancer to get mammograms, prostrate exams, colonoscopies and other related tests to be done. A good fundraiser that can help raise money for cancer awareness is a walkathon. These are popular events and not intimidating to participants. If you host a run, fewer people will join. If you advertise your fundraiser as a walk, people participating won’t feel pressured to travel fast.

The fire pit comes into play because a flame will symbolize life. A good idea is to place one fire pit on each side of the registration table. “Keep the flame burning” or “More Checkups More Often” should be the general gist of the slogan. It’s not the catchiest saying, yet you get the general idea. What is vital is that a couple of flames that burn are symbolic of life going on. Words on a poster – such as the slogan above – are good, but there’s nothing like a unique visual to catch someone’s attention. A visual, like a fire pit, will be burned into people’s heads, much more so than a fundraising slogan.

Solid outdoor fire pits can be used for all types of fundraisers for non-profit organizations.
