Select A Career In The HVAC Profession
If you are thinking of a safe career which will not be affected by recession and your job will not be outsourced then the best career will be in the HVAC arena. HVAC means heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
You think of any building which does not have at least one of these three components. In majority of the cases the buildings have all the three components. To install the HVAC machinery you need to have the know how about heating or the ventilation equipment functions.
To get this specialized knowledge you need to do two things. The first thing is to enroll in a course which is specialized in particular stream of HVAC. In addition to the theoretical knowledge you will need to have the particular hands on training in the use of the equipment.
There are a lot of online hvac training courses which impart both of these. These training schools will have regular online training classes which will tell you all about the equipment and then they also conduct special hands on training in a place near where you live. That said when you enroll in a training course make sure that the training academy offers the hands on training. Do not select a school which does not have the practical training program.
The other method to get the hvac training is to find work as an apprentice with a hvac contractor. In addition to getting the practical knowledge you will also get real life experience in handling the customers and also will be able to establish a good network of friends in the industry. This helps later when you are hunting for a job or if you decide to venture out on your own and start your own company.
The best part of this profession is that it is recession proof and that helps as then you can very easily be employed at all times without worrying about the job loss. Another plus is that there is no outsourcing threat which is there for white collar workers.
