Mukesh Ambani: India’s precisous inventor

Reliance Industries ( PR agency ) Ltd of Mukesh Ambani Group with its partner Niko Resources Ltd invested over Rs. 42,000 crore in discovery and improvement of oil and gas in the deep water basin in Krishna Godavari D6 block. The first ever oil from deep waters in the nation came on stream in September 2008 and gas production started in the first quarter this year.

The importance of this project is that KG D6 is not only India’s first deep water development but indicates a high skill mega investment program. Therefore, it is observed with great interest and great hope, not only in India but around the world. At present ,with its success India enters the alternation league of deep water developers,a feat that has so far been got amongst the developing countries onto by Petronras of Brazil. According to characteristics,on entire capacity,power generation is expected to surge by 8000 mw and urea output by 10 million tonne per year! And the import and subsidy bill of fertilizers and LNG will cut down sharply,in this way to save foreign exchange. Where the world takes about 10 years to go from concept to production, we have done it in a much shorter time. The programe has invented large worth for the economy. Natural gas is a prime feedstock to the fertilizer industry and it cuts down subsidies and as a result,invents precious for the government. It is transparent that it also invents worth for our farmers according to make sure that we have the ability to provide them urea based on indigenous feed-stock and it (helps) the power position,which in all enhances the engergy safety.
