Enjoyable Films Concerning Erroneous Identities

An irrational but forever cool storyline for a motion picture is when the characters swap lives with each other or make believe to be someone else, it always ends up being very funny and the lesson is usually about bearing in mind the other individual’s outlook.

Dudley Moore and Kirk Cameron play father and son who trade places after an old Indian potion gets sprinkled into the dad’s bloody Mary. “Like Father, Like Son” is from’87 and the cast includes Dudley Moore and Kirk Cameron, Margaret Colin, Catherine Hicks, Patrick O’Neal and Sean Astin.

The father is a heart doctor who happens to be so engrossed in his own occupation that he pays no consideration to the difficulties the son is having with school and social activities. The trading places with each other leads to unusually hilarious complications at work and at school but each receives insight into the others life.

In a parallel plot the film “Freaky Friday” from 2003 has Jamie Lee Curtis playing a mother who exchanges places with Lindsay Lohan who plays her 15 years old daughter. The mom wants more support for her approaching matrimony to her fianc and the daughter wants her mom to support her musical dreams with her rock band.

A Chinese restaurant and a mysterious fortune cookie on Thursday night bring about a Friday like no other. But they have to find consideration for the other before the wedding ceremony takes place on Saturday. Stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan with Mark Harmon as the future husband and stepfather.

Finally a suggestion for a diverse kind of identity swap, in “Mrs. Doubtfire” Robin Williams plays a free-spirited husband and dad who unenthusiastically gets divorced after fourteen years. Nevertheless, he can’t bear to be away from his children so he pretends to be a British housekeeper and his ex-wife hires him as a nanny.

Starring the hysterically talented Robin Williams as the dad and Mrs. Doubtfire, Sally Fields as his ex-wife and Lisa Jakob, Matthew Lawrence and Mara Wilson as the children. Mrs. Doubtfire is a film that should not be missed from’93.

And of course, there may be more but there you have three recommendations for some hilarious and unforgettable motion pictures based upon the premise of a erroneous identity. Have fun!
