Custom Metal Signs In Every Color Under The Sun!

Metal signs really can come in any color!

These days, aluminum metal signs are no longer limited to shades of gray or white, but rather may be tailored to any color possible!  However if gray or white is your personal taste, metal signs can still be made in those colors.  Yet if a vivid green or a rustic orange agrees with your business or organization , then your new sign has the ability to be made to suit your needs.

*Fun Fact from TheSignChef: Did you know ALL street signs are not even painted? Not one of them! Rather, they are covered with colored reflective vinyl and then sealed to make certain the vinyl will not chip or peel.

So can I seriously choose ANY color I want for my custom metal sign?

Survey says….YES!  So how exactly does that transpire?  Well there happens to be a few different ways depending on the thickness of the aluminum metal you select.

So what are the basic color choices for a normal outdoor yard sign?

Basic metal yard signs (most often real estate signs) are .040” in thickness.  For these signs, there are quite a few colors that we have readily accessible and in store at TheSignChef production house, which include:

• Black
• Yellow
• Green
• Blue
• Red
• Orange
• Brushed Silver
• Mirrored Silver
• Brushed Gold
• Mirror Gold

These colors are factory painted aluminum colors and come ready for printing and cutting.

Well what about something that is a bit more thick and rigid?

Thicker sheets of aluminum (as thick as .080”) are also readily available factory painted, however can be modified farther to achieve the precise color you wish.

Much like street signs, we are able to cover any sheet of aluminum metal with vinyl in an unlimited variety of colors.  The method is fairly simple.  The vinyl is applied just after the metal is cut and before your logo, lettering and design is implemented.

If vinyl is definitely not a look you are interested in, we are able to spray paint or powder coat your sign to coordinate your color sample.  (This is perfect if you are looking for something other than the basic color collection offered for .040” thicknesses, too.)  Just like going to almost any paint retail store, you can select a sample of the color you would like us to match and our Art Department will go to work creating the best blend of power coating or spray paints to make your color become reality!

Still want to view a few colors of a certain color? No problem! Just like you would find paint for the walls of your business, getting samples to hold up and look at, the same can occur in picking the color of your metal sign.  That way you will be sure to get the color you’ve been visualizing in your mind.

Speaking of “vibrant and lasting”, just how long will the color of my metal sign last?

Our custom metal signs are rated to last 5-7 years.  Regardless of what color you ultimately choose  (and you know there’s a lot of options now!) or how it is accomplished, a clear UV protective laminate is used on all metal signs to help it resist color attacking agents just like weather, the sun, pollution, rust, etc.
