A Guide For Bathroom Lighting
Bathroom lighting is not only about lamps and fixtures but also about creating that little ‘extra’ that turns you on whenever you enter this tiny quiet room to spend some time with yourself and enjoy the warm bath.
During the construction and renewing of your bathroom, always bear in mind about the electrical installation as it is the key constituent. If you are considering changing the old pipes with the new ones then go for the cast iron rather than the inflexible plastic pipelines.
Get a clear picture about the complete wiring before you jump for the electrical wiring. You may require new lines from the repair panel to the bathroom, or joining into the already existing circuits. The latter one is easy, as you have to do properly after the framing gets completed.
To balance your mood for your bathroom the electric fitting has to be installed accordingly. If you are thinking of any electrical work to do for your bathroom then you have to get permission from your local building control department and this job must be carried out by an experienced electrician. What ever light you are fitting must be applicable for the bathroom use.
If you want to give your bathroom a real look, then you have choose light that is not bright with fine buried light fittings or flush spotlights. For a more traditional design large pendant lights and wall fittings with fabric shades will look more attractive. If the lighting is contrast to the color of your bathroom then your bathroom will look bigger. So it is better you think about back lighting indentation and recesses.
The bathroom lighting can only be achieved successfully by choosing the right lamps, placing them strategically, using mirrors and defoggers at all the correct places and in appropriate styles and know how to avoid the shadow trap.
It is recommended that recessed lighting fixtures is the most popular bathroom lighting trend today but if they are the only lights you are using in the bathroom you may fall into the shadow trap and may not be able to see yourself clearly in the mirror.
A halogen-recessed floodlight is the best but that can make you afraid when you place the flash light under the chin in the dark. To let alone those scary shadowing effects, recessed floodlights mixed with other forms of light are used.
